    Ravish \Rav"ish\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. Ravished; p. pr. & vb. n. Ravishing.] [OE. ravissen, F. ravir, fr. L. rapere to snatch or tear away, to ravish. See Rapacious, Rapid, and -ish.]
